The family of late Yoruba gospel singer Taiwo Adegbodu, popularly known as Taye Adegbodu and one half of the iconic duo Adegbodu Twins, has released official burial arrangements following his passing on March 1, 2026.
In a statement shared by family and friends, they described the veteran artiste as a fighter who “came, fought, conquered, and has now gone to be with the Most High.”
Though the loss is deeply felt, they celebrated his well-lived life, enduring legacy in gospel music, and role as a devoted husband, father, and inspiration to many.
The burial rites are scheduled as follows: An Artist Night tribute event will hold on Monday, March 30, 2026, starting at 4:00 PM at Bollads Event Centre, New Garage, Akala Express, Elewure Junction, Ibadan. This will be followed by the burial service on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM at his residence in Ibadan.
The family expressed profound gratitude for the flood of calls, messages, and support pouring in during this difficult period.
