Afrobeat musician Femi Kuti has once again offered a candid glimpse into his views on relationships and marriage, recalling the unconventional understanding he had with his first wife, Funke Kuti, before they got married.
The Grammy-nominated musician, who is the eldest son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
In an earlier interview, Kuti explained that Funke knew about his lifestyle and his views on relationships before they became husband and wife.

He said: “I told my first wife before we got married that I love women and could never be faithful to just one woman.
He added: “I only married her so my children could get a British passport.”

Kuti and Funke got married in 1995 and had one son together, Omorinmade Kuti, popularly known as Made Kuti.
However, their marriage eventually ended.
Kuti later explained that their relationship became difficult because of his lifestyle.
