Morrocan-American Rapper French Montana has opened up about how he met his fiancée, Dubai Princess Sheikha Mahra.
According to French Montana while on Joe and Jada podcast, he was drawn to Sheikha Mahra’s confidence and boldness after she announced her divorce from her ex-husband on Instagram. He said; “I just happened to be in Dubai, and I remember I had seen her. She had put up that post where she divorced somebody. I’m like, I like her. Cause it take a lot of guts to throw that up. So when she threw that up, I’m like, I like her.”

Sheikha Mahra, the daughter of Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced her divorce from Sheikh Mana Al Maktoum, with whom she shares a daughter in July 2024, writing on her Instagram “I divorce you” three times. Thereafter, the Princess launched a perfume line and named it “Divorce”.
The couple’s relationship became public when they were spotted together in Dubai and Paris. They got engaged in June 2025 during Paris Fashion Week, where French Montana also walked the runway.
