Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker Chukwuebuka Amuzie, better known as Brain Jotter, has publicly shared an encounter with suspected street touts who blocked his vehicle in Lagos and demanded money.
In an Instagram post accompanied by video footage, the content creator expressed frustration, using a metaphor about poorly managed wildlife to describe the incident.
The clip captures a group of men confronting him on a Lagos road and preventing him from driving on until a “settlement” was paid.
The episode follows a series of similar complaints from other public figures. DJ Salt of Life, younger sister of Afrobeats star Ayra Starr, recently reported that suspected area boys damaged her car after mistaking her for the singer and demanding cash.

Medical doctor Olusina Ajidahun, known as The Bearded Sina, and video director TG Omori have also described being threatened or extorted by touts while working in the state.
Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources Tokunbo Wahab has previously said authorities continue to arrest and clear street urchins.
He argued, however, that cash payments from celebrities and ordinary residents encourage the practice and create a sense of entitlement among the touts. He urged greater public cooperation to restore order.
Social media users responding to Brain Jotter’s post largely blamed weak enforcement and described the problem as entrenched in several parts of the city, including Bariga, where the comedian’s incident reportedly occurred after a show.
The latest case has renewed discussion about the challenges motorists and entertainers face from street gangs across Lagos.
