The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced plans to prosecute popular Nigerian TikTok influencer and livestreamer Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, following his car crash on Sunday.
The incident, which occurred along the Lekki-Epe Expressway when Peller was live-streaming faced condemnation from the agency as it slammed the young TikToker for live streaming and driving.

In the viral footage and as reported by eelive.ng, the TikToker who has 36 million followers, made alarming statements suggesting self-harm, including threats to deliberately cause an accident. All this stemmed from a heated breakup dispute with his girlfriend and fellow content creator, Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, popularly called Jarvis.
Reacting swiftly, FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed condemned the act as “unlawful and dangerous,” highlighting the risks of distracted driving through live streaming.
In a statement released Monday by Corps Public Education Officer Olusegun Ogungbemide, Mohammed directed the Lagos Sector Commander to initiate immediate prosecution for reckless driving, phone use while driving, and distraction.
“Fame does not confer immunity from the law,” the statement emphasized, warning that no social media clout is worth endangering lives. The FRSC stressed road safety as a shared responsibility and urged influencers to promote responsible behavior.
