Earlier, eelive.ng announced that Imisi, whose real name is Opeyemi Ayanwale, won the recently concluded tenth season of Nigeria’s most popular reality show, Big Brother Naija.
The talented and multifaceted Nigerian was one of the 15 female contestants and claimed the grand prize of N150 million, the highest amount ever awarded in the show’s history.
During her time in the reality show, Imisi captured viewers’ hearts with her bold, witty personality and authentic demeanor. However, there are some important aspects of her life you should know.
Abortion at 13
While on the show, Imisi shared her experience of being sexually assaulted at the age of 12.
Revealing the pain behind her humorous personality, she recounted the harrowing incident saying: “The first time I was sent out from the house was when I was about 12. There was someone who took me in on the third day to his house, then his mom realised he had brought someone home, and then he took me to the church.
“In the church, there was a store room there, very dark. It was just me alone. Then he left. I dunno if he had an idea that something was going to happen that night, because I didn’t have anywhere to go, and I couldn’t go back to my parents at that time.
“So I got raped. That was the first time I got raped in my life.
“I had to go to school the next day, then I was sent to go back home, then I got raped the second time, there in that same room.

“Then I later realised I was pregnant and I was just 13 years old. I had to abort the child.
“I feel like that is something that traumatises me every time I cannot be in a dark place alone.”
Shared a kiss with actor Kola Ajeyemi on a movie set
Not many people know that before her rise to fame, Imisi was a budding actress in the Nigerian film industry.
In the scene that has gone viral, the actress and reality star is seen sharing a brief kiss with Kola Ajeyemi, the husband of popular Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham.
Lost a child at four months
The 23-year-old disclosed during her time in the house that she left a toxic relationship after losing her baby. “I lost my child at four months because the relationship became toxic. I was always crying and dealing with mental stress,” she shared. Imisi also mentioned that she is currently single and is healing from a recent breakup.
Crushed on four men during the show
During her stay in the house, Imisi revealed that she was attracted to four male housemates. Revealing their identities she stated that she has a crush on Kaybobo, Rooboy, Jason Jae, and Victory.
“I am in love with four people—Kaybobo, Rooboy, Jason [Jae], and Victory,” she said.
