
Hilda Baci, a former Guinness World Record holder for marathon cooking, has disclosed that her new objective will be cooking 250 bags of rice to attain a new world record for the biggest Jollof pot.
Hilda made the plan public via her social media platforms.
Analysing the scale of the project, Hilda explained that she would be using a 22,619-liter pot for the cooking.

Speaking about the cooking process, she said, “I’m making the executive decision to cook 250 bags of basmati rice. The pot is 6 meters wide by 6 meters wide, 1.1 meters tall, and about 1.3 meters deep. I’m sure the pot is not going to sink.”
The event, which is set for September 12, 2025, aims to feed 10,000 people.

eelive.ng recalls that in 2023, Hilda Baci cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes to break the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. The record has since been surpassed by Irish chef Alan Fisher with 119 hours, 57 minutes.
