In a new twist following the tragic car accident involving British-Nigerian boxing champion Anthony Joshua, the driver, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, has revealed that Joshua had exchanged seats with one of his friends just moments before the crash occurred.
The fatal incident, which took place along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway near Makun, Ogun State, claimed the lives of two of Joshua’s close friends and team members, Sina Ghami and Latz Ayodele.
Kayode, 46, who is currently facing charges of causing death by dangerous driving, disclosed during initial police questioning that Joshua had been sitting in the front passenger seat before switching places with one of the victims shortly before the collision.
This development adds further emotional weight to the already devastating event, highlighting just how narrowly the boxer escaped with his life.
