Shina Peters, the Afro-Juju maestro, has faced criticism from an overzealous fan following a recent video of the Fuji singer performing at an event.
The controversy arose after a video surfaced on social media in which, Sir Peters was captured expressing his deep affection for his son, who he describes as his promoter in the United States.
In the viral video, shared on Sunday, Sir Shina Peters says, “This is my last born. I love him. He is my promoter in the US.”’
”He brought me down here.” While it is unclear exactly when the event took place, reports suggest it occurred in America, where the singer’s son currently resides.

While many fans hailed the singer, some queried his choice of outfit. One follower commented: “How can an old man dress this way?”
Despite the remark, the comment section was largely filled with messages of prasies for the musician and his well-behaved.

Born in Ogun state, Peters’ career began at a young age when he played with friends under the handle of Olushina and His Twelve Fantastic Brothers.
He taught himself the piano and later joined Ebenezer Obey’s band. He would later leave Obey’s band to join General Prince Adekunle as a guitarist.
Adekunle’s band played in Lagos hotels such as Western Hotel, Palm Beach, and Executive Hotel. When Adekunle was ill, Peters acted as lead singer.
He later left Adekunle to form Shina Adewale, a band with Segun Adewale. The duo soon split.
Peters put out albums with Segun Adewale in the 80s before eventually forming his Sir Shina Peters & His International Stars.
