Nigerian streamer Habeeb Hamzat, also known as Peller, recently talked about how Nollywood actress Funke Akindele supported him last year when he was going through a tough time.
Peller crashed his Mercedes-Benz on the Lekki-Epe Expressway in December 2025 after a heated argument and breakup with Jarvis. The crash happened during a stressful livestream and left him in the hospital.
He was later arrested for trying to take his own life and posting about the incident online.
In a video shared on social media, Peller said that Akindele supported him after his arrest and stayed by his side during that difficult period.

He appreciated the actress and praised her kindness, noting that she is always showing love to people and that it reflects clearly in her actions.
When Peller, who is 20 years old, started to share details about what she did for him last year, Funke Akindele tried to cover his mouth to stop him.
Peller laughed and kept talking, telling Akindele that he had not been okay.
Akindele responded by praying for him, telling him he looked well, giving him a hug, and offering more encouragement.
This is not the first time Akindele has quietly helped others. A few months ago, she bought an iPhone for Iyabo Ojo and gave it to her at an event after they had joked about Ojo’s phone. Akindele kept her promise to replace it.
Last year, skit maker and actor Kamo also spoke warmly about Akindele, saying she supported him and his wife during their wedding and later as they tried to have a child.
