Perry, who studied Visual Art at the University of Lagos (Unilag), stated that after school, life was not as easy as he thought. In his words, “After school, I started going for movie auditions. As at that time, I knew that it’s not painting, painters are hardly recognized in this country except you have a name.”

Moving further, he added, “I just knew it’s acting and I wanted to pursue it and almost everyday I will go for auditions, most of them they no go pick, they will just ask you to drop your passport and the last one I did was The Wedding Party.”
Broda Shaggi went on to reveal that even after featuring in some movies produced by ROK Studios, he felt it wasn’t something people were noticing him and decided to push further and hence came up with his own thing, “Broda Shaggi”

It wasn’t until Instagram influencer Tundednut posted his video and the comments made him realize he already has a brand.
Being motivated by the repost from Tunde Ednot and comments in the comment section, he decided to make a thing out of it and started making and posting skits every day.
