
Foremost Nigerian entertainer, Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji, who is better known as Nasboi, has taken to social media to explain how he recently overcame his battle with depression, impostor syndrome, and an inferiority complex.
In a video seen by eelive.ng during the early hours of today, Thursday, February 26, the Nigerian entertainment polymath mentioned that he had to withdraw into his shell due to cruel words from trolls on social media. He mentioned that the harsh words and criticism from naysayers got to him, and he began to doubt himself.

In his revelation on the social media page, Instagram, Nasboi mentioned that he recently began to doubt himself and his abilities because he was believing the words of trolls on the internet. He stated that he decided to desist from creating skits or pursuing other artistic endeavours because he wanted to be taken seriously.
“I suffered depression due to the comments from the trolls on social media,” Nasboi said. “The comments were beginning to get to me,” he added in the video.

Nasboi, who gained prominence in the early 2020s as ‘fake Davido,’ said he had to withdraw and re-strategize his move in the entertainment industry; however, comments from notable social media personality, Alabi Lawrence, inspired him to pick up the pen and compose new music and write scripts for his skits.
Nasboi stated that he is now more positive and he is prepared to keep creating content for his fans and those who care about his abilities.
