Fola rushed to the studio, played Wizkid some of his unreleased songs, and Wizkid immediately picked “One Condition.” Shockingly, the song was originally meant for Mayorkun, but Wizkid loved it so much that he reportedly begged Fola to let him jump on it instead.

In his words: “I met OBO in the club. The next day DJ Tunez called me and said Wizkid wanted to see me. I got to the studio, played him my songs, and he chose ‘One Condition.’ It was actually meant for Mayorkun, but Wizkid begged me to let him have it. That’s how the song happened.”
The record has since exploded across Nigeria and beyond, racking up millions of streams and becoming one of the biggest Afrobeats hits of the year.
