Actress Biola Adebayo has opened up about her struggles as an orphan and single mother, explaining that these experiences have shaped how she responds to public criticism.
She shared this in a post on Instagram.
In her post, Biola talked about the challenges she has faced and how they have shaped her views on life and relationships. She pointed out that public criticism often fails to reflect what people are really going through in private.

She wrote, “I am an orphan and a single mother. I have been through a lot. People don’t know what others are going through before they judge.”
Biola also spoke about the challenges of raising a child on her own while facing public attention, saying her journey has strengthened her and deepened her faith. She added, “When you have gone through certain things in life, you learn to ignore some things and focus on what really matters.”
The actress shared that her journey has deepened her empathy, inspiring her to encourage others to show more kindness and resist judging lives by their online appearances.
After facing heartbreak in her quest to conceive, Yoruba film star and producer Biola finally welcomed her first child via surrogacy in 2023. Though her marriage to Oluwaseyi Akinrinde ended, she confirmed in 2025 that they remain devoted co-parents to their son.
Her mother died in February 2025.
