Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, known professionally as Adekunle Gold, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He gained widespread attention after releasing the 2015 hit single “Sade”, a highlife cover of One Direction’s “Story of My Life”.
Adekunle Gold has been described as one of the most interesting musicians in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
A year ago, the former Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) signee was left emotional after selling out the Wembley Arena in London. In a viral video, the singer was seen crying after his sold-out show as his ever-supportive wife, Simi, comforted him.
To celebrate his eight years in the music industry and the release of his first album, Adekunle appreciated his senior colleague and YBNL boss, Olamide. Reminiscing on his first album, he appreciated Olamide for giving him a chance, noting that Olamide was just a young graphic designer who let him design his YBNL logo and be part of the record label.
