Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold, has opened up about his love for his family and the importance he places on being a good husband and father.
The award-winning artiste, who is married to fellow singer Simi, said his wife and their daughter, Adejare, are the centre of his world and everything he does revolves around them.

Speaking on a recent episode of the NotJustOk podcast, the Orente crooner said his biggest motivation in life is to give his daughter a better life than the one he had while growing up.
According to Adekunle Gold, he wants to make sure his daughter never experiences the struggles he faced as a child, adding that this desire keeps him focused and working hard every day.
He revealed that his song My Love Is The Same was inspired by his deep commitment to being a responsible and loving father.
In his words, “All I wanted to do is give my daughter a better life. I can’t afford to bring her into the kind of life I grew up living. It has to be way better, and that’s why I’m working hard.
“My family is my centre. I don’t joke with my family. I can afford to be a failed musician, but not a failed father or a man. That’s not negotiable for me.”
Adekunle Gold, who has continued to top charts with hit songs and albums, said fame and success mean nothing to him if he cannot be a good husband and father at home.
