Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, who is better known as Falz, has mentioned that he cannot walk down the aisle with a woman who doesn’t like plantain.
The rapper hinted that plantain is one of his favourite foods, declaring that a partner not liking the food is a deal breaker for him in a romantic relationship.
On his X handle, he wrote, “Not liking plantain is serious grounds for breakup (sic).”

In another post, he revealed that boiled yam and fried eggs are his favourite meal and he could eat it every day.
“One meal I can eat everyday for the rest of my life – boiled yam and fried eggs (sic),” he wrote.
He, however, said he doesn’t recommend eating semo, arguing that it shouldn’t be considered food.
“I wouldn’t advise eating semo in the morning…or any time of the day. It shouldn’t be food,” Falz wrote.
His opinion on semo quickly sparked diverse reactions among netizens, with many disagreeing.
Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz, is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and actor. He began his career in secondary school after forming a group called The School Boys with a friend, before launching his professional music career as a music artist in 2009.
In the 2010s, Falz gained further prominence after releasing the song “Marry Me” featuring vocals from Poe and Yemi Alade.
He currently owns an independent record label called Bahd Guys Records. He released his debut album Wazup Guy in 2014. His second album, Stories That Touch, was released in 2015. He released 27 in 2017, and his fourth studio album, Moral Instruction, in 2019.
