Nigerian reality television star and former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna has generated significant buzz on on social media after sharing her unconventional views on motherhood and personal fulfilment.
The former Big Brother Naija winner revealed that despite being “very fertile”, she has no desire to have biological children. Instead, she went on to express a strong preference for adopting pets, particularly dogs and cats, as a source of companionship and emotional satisfaction.
According to Phyna, her perspective reflects a deeper sense of self-awareness and evolving priorities. She stated: “I’m very fertile, but I have no desire to have a biological child. Instead, I want to adopt dogs and cats. It feels like a woman’s love for animals really kicks in as she approaches 30 — especially when she refuses to settle for less.”
However, Phyna’s statement highlights a growing shift among young women who are increasingly prioritising personal happiness, career growth, and alternative lifestyles over conventional expectations.
