Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has opened up on how she secured a role in the forthcoming film The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives.

Renowned filmmaker Mo Abudu had earlier unveiled the movie’s cast via Instagram on Monday, featuring Faithia Williams, Nancy Isime, Uzor Arukwe, Mike Ezuruonye, Blessing Obasi, and Nkechi Blessing, among others.

Reacting to the announcement, an excited Blessing described the opportunity as one that came at the appointed time, expressing gratitude for being part of the highly anticipated project.

She wrote that God said, “At his own appointed time, I will make it happen. After so many years in the industry, I’m finally having a spot at the top.”

She added, “I mean me? A cast in the most anticipated movie of the year? I mean a Mo Abudu production? Somebody pinch me. When I got this call to come in for a reading, I thought they had dialled the wrong number. I couldn’t continue sleeping.

“I woke up earlier than usual so I wouldn’t be late. Then I walked into that room… I tried to maintain composure, but inside I wanted to scream. To you all who called me a failed actress at every opportunity, this year 2026, you will eat your words and drink your tears. As long as God is still seated on the throne of mercy, I, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, will continue to excel, prosper, and walk into every room full of opportunities.”
