Annie Idibia the Nollywood actress has gotten tongues wagging with a controversial post shared on her Instagram story.
The post shared on her Instastory read, “I hope my daughter doesn’t accept things I’ve accepted, that she knows her worth from the start and knows that no matter what, she always has me in her corner.”
eelive.ng reports that this comes weeks after her estranged husband, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, confirmed his new marriage to Edo lawmaker, Natasha Osawuru.
Annie and 2Baba’s marriage faced several hurdles over the years. In 2021, the actress openly broke down during a reality TV series, Young, Famous & African, where she revealed her pains over 2Baba’s past relationships and children from other women.
The couple managed to stay together despite multiple controversies, including allegations of infidelity and family disputes that were widely reported in the media.
Earlier this year, 2Baba announced the end of their union, confirming the divorce in a video statement. Shortly after, he was seen proposing to Natasha Osawuru, sparking mixed reactions online. The singer later defended the lawmaker, insisting she was not the cause of his failed marriage.
Annie Idibia has remained largely silent on the divorce, only occasionally sharing cryptic posts on her social media.
Her latest message might be considered as a sign of regret for condoning 2baba’s shortcomings.
