Nigerian entertainer and billionaire heiress, DJ Cuppy whose real name is Florence Otedola has stated that there is no such thing as free lunch.
The foremost disc jockey explained her plight in a thread on her official X account.
In her post on X, she mentioned that she once mistook calculated support for genuine kindness.
“A few years ago, I really thought someone was being kind. They showed up for me, offered help, made me feel supported. I thought it came from a good place… BUT later, they made it clear they expected something in return an investment or, hilariously, an introduction to my dad.”

She admitted feeling “so stupid for not seeing it earlier” and urged others to be cautious: “Learn from me o… Not everything that looks like support is coming from a good place! (sic)”

Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, professionally known as DJ Cuppy or simply Cuppy, is a Nigerian disc jockey, musician, and producer. She is the daughter of Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola.
In other news, Nigerian recording artiste, Davido, who is otherwise known as Baddest, has mentioned that he loves how his wife, Chioma Adeleke, genuinely loves his other children.
Davido, who had three children from different baby mamas before getting married to Chioma, noted that the chef’s love for his other kids was one of the things he loved about her.
He spoke at Chioma’s surprise 30th birthday in Atlanta, Georgia, where he gifted her a brand new car.
“I love the way you love my kids that are not even yours. So Chioma, enjoy your 30th birthday. As we celebrate your 30th, we will also celebrate your 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th, 100th and so forth,” he said.
Davido and Chioma have twins together after losing their first son, Ifeanyi, in a swimming pool accident at the singer’s Lagos mansion in November 2022.
