Nigerian Afrobeats star, Asake has opened up about his relationship with his father and the difficult decision he made in pursuit of his music career.
In a recent conversation, Asake reflected on his early years, revealing that he once shared a very close bond with his father.
“My Dad and I were so close when I was younger,” he said.
However, Asake explained that tensions arose when he decided to leave home to fully focus on the path that has now made him a household name.
According to Asake, his father was not in support of the move at the time, but he still went ahead with his decision to leave home.
“But it got to a time when I wanted to leave home to do what I’m doing now, but my father said no. I left regardless,” he added.
