Life doesn’t stop because you have an audience,” she said. “There were moments I had personal challenges but still had to show up… During those periods, I reminded myself that it’s okay to be human. I also learnt the importance of resting when I needed to and leaning on the people around me.”

Taaooma, who rose to fame with relatable African family comedy skits, said the experience of bullying earlier in life shaped her empathy and the kinds of stories she chooses to tell. Her new film, Terms and Conditions, draws inspiration from those experiences. She hopes viewers leave with greater understanding of how bullying can affect confidence and a sense of belonging.

On motherhood, she described it as a transformative chapter that has made her more intentional with her time and more patient in both her personal life and career. “Every decision I make affects more than just me now,” she noted, adding that she remains committed to creating while protecting family balance.
