Faith, the wife of David Oyedepo, has recounted how God saved her from a near-death experience.
In a series of posts on her Instagram page, the wife of the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide shared a photo of herself, reflecting on how the grace of God delivered her from the shackles of death many years ago.
“Some years ago, I passed through the valley of death, but God rescued me from destruction. It was a season when everything around me seemed dark. Yet, in His mercy, God reached out, lifted me from the pit, and restored my soul.
“I am living proof that He is still the Deliverer who saves from danger and preserves life against all odds.

“Whatever valley you may be walking through right now, know this: God is able to bring you out stronger, healthier, and full of His peace. Will you let Him write your rescue story too?” she wrote.
Oyedepo’s post reflects on her near-death experience during a mission trip to Northern Nigeria in 2004. During the mission, she fell ill, exhibiting symptoms such as hair loss, skin peeling, and paralysis in her limbs.
Despite seeking medical consultations both locally and abroad, no answers were provided, and doctors feared she might never recover. She believed that her illness was beyond medical explanation and had spiritual roots.
In response, she turned to prayers, communion, anointing oil, and sacrificial giving. Prominent ministers, including T.L. Osborn, also prayed for her.
In December of that year, a snake was killed in her room, and a black bird fell dead near her home. She indicated that these strange occurrences marked the beginning of her recovery after nine months of suffering.
