Nollywood actress Mide Martins has taken to social media to pen an emotional tribute to her mother, actress Funmi Martins, 23 years after her death.
Recall, Funmi Martins who was also an actress, died in 2002 after reportedly suffering cardiac arrest.
Taking to her Instagram page on Tuesday, the 46-year-old shared a video compilation of her mother’s moments, expressing deep emotions over the loss, saying she still finds herself shedding tears when she remembers her mother.

Describing her late mother as a rare gem and a real angel in human skin, the mother of two noted how it was just like yesterday when her mother died, and now, it has been 23 years.

“OLUWAFUNMILAYO FLORENCE ANIKE MAMA MI. It’s been 23 years since I lost my beloved mama & best friend!!!. You were indeed a RARE GEM!!! A REAL ANGEL IN HUMAN SKIN. I can’t express how much I miss you in words, MAAMI.
