Odera Mbadiwe, the elder brother of the popular Big Brother Naija housemates, the Mbadiwe twins, has finally spoken after being declared missing for some days.
The businessman, who is known for his work in the hospitality sector, was said to have disappeared without a trace, which caused worry among family members, friends and fans of the family.
His brother had earlier raised the alarm on social media, asking Nigerians to help find him.
In a fresh statement, Odera confirmed that he is alive and now recovering. He explained that his health challenge came after he unknowingly consumed a harmful substance that left him weak and unable to help himself.
Narrating how he was rescued, he said a young lady and a man found him lying by the roadside in a very bad state. According to him, they immediately reached out to his family members and ensured that he was taken to safety.

He said: “After missing for three days, I, Odera Mbadiwe of the Ozuomba Mbadiwe family, am deeply thankful to be safe and recovering. It was later discovered that a harmful substance had been introduced to my system by person or persons unknown to me, which led to a very difficult and uncertain time.”
“I want to express my gratitude to my family, friends and the general public, in particular a young lady and a gentleman who, in spite of daunting challenges, were able to contact my family. I’m also incredibly grateful to the Nigeria Police and other security agencies. I feel much better now, growing stronger every day and returning to my old self,” he added.
The entrepreneur promised to bounce back stronger and said he would never forget the outpouring of support from Nigerians.
