Nigerian movie actress, Gift Anizoba, has shared her frustration over the gridlock on Lagos roads, calling out Nigerian returnees who are often dubbed I Just Got Back (IJGBs), whom she believes are adding to the chaos without reason.
The term IJGB began to trend at the turn of the 2020s following the influx of Nigerian-born returnees who visit members of their family, friends, and other relatives during the festive season.
While some people have accepted returnees as part of those who want to enjoy the festive season with their relatives, others have decided to deride them for bringing chaos and pandemonium in the affairs of the state.

Taking to social media to disclose her displeasure, the actress complained about roads being completely blocked, saying she had missed her nail, hair, and lash appointments because of the traffic.

She went further to mock what she described as people driving “big big cars” but coming out with “empty pockets,” urging them to simply turn back.

She mentioned that business owners should become more flexible and approach rendering of services to Nigerians and returnees with empathy, understanding and affordability, rather than trying to extort them while giving poor services.
