Nigerian recording artiste, Paul Okoye, who is better known as Rudeboy, seems to have reacted to the controversial statement by his twin brother, Peter Okoye, who is otherwise known as Mr P, about culture, language, and traditional values.

Days prior, Peter faced heavy public backlash after dismissing the practical value of indigenous Nigerian languages during an online discussion regarding his children’s fluency in French. eelive.ng reported it here.

Reacting to his twin brother’s statement, Paul Okoye said, “I’m a ‘nobody,’ I repeat! a nobody!! Without the culture, native language, the pride of a Nigerian.”

He added, “100% proudly Nigerian. 100% proudly Igbo.”

Peter and Paul Okoye, who formed the iconic music group P-Square, have had a history of public disagreements and reconciliations. Although the brothers reunited in 2021 after years apart, fresh tensions later emerged, leading them to pursue separate careers once again.

P-Square were a Nigerian music duo composed of the twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, who co-write and co-produce most of their songs.
