Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Tiwa Savage has revealed her top priority in raising her 10-year-old son, Jamil, is to instill kindness and respect.
In a candid interview with Korty EO, the ‘Somebody’s Son’ crooner emphasised the importance of her son developing a kind heart.
“It’s very important for me to just make sure he’s a good man… At the core of him, I want him to be kind,” she said.
Savage also stressed the need for her son to treat women with respect, telling him, “Your mom suffer o, make sure you treat any girl like a queen.”

Jamil, when been asked what he would like to be when he grows up revealed that at age 4, he wanted to be a gamer but now with a change of mind, wants to be a professional footballer.
Tiwa Savage’s marriage to Tunji “Tee Billz” Balogun ended in 2018 after five years and the union birth their son Jamil. Their relationship was marked by controversy and allegations of infidelity, financial mismanagement, and emotional abuse. Tiwa Savage claimed Tee Billz was responsible for the divorce, citing his infidelity and financial recklessness. Tee Billz accused Tiwa Savage of infidelity, mentioning other artists.
Despite their intense relationship, they have maintained a cordial relationship for their son’s sake. Tiwa Savage has expressed regret over leaving her marriage, citing single motherhood challenges. Tee Billz says he may never get married again.
