Former Big Brother Naija housemate Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as Deeone, has shared his thoughts on the recent release of Jude Okoye, the Managing Director of Play Network Africa, from detention by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Jude Okoye was arrested and detained for over two months over allegations of N1.38 billion fraud. However, as monitored by eelive.ng, Jude finally regained his freedom after spending over two months in EFCC custody and a video as shared by Paul Okoye, Rudeboy.

In a video, Deeone questioned Jude Okoye’s release, asking if it was true that he “stole” the money. Deeone expressed his opinion that the amount involved was substantial and attributed it to greed. He also wondered why Jude Okoye would allegedly take what doesn’t belong to him when he could have asked his brothers for help. In his words: “Jude Okoye, you thief abi you no thief?”
Deeone emphasized that the EFCC wouldn’t have detained someone for that long if they were innocent. “EFCC cannot put you in custody for 2 months without you been at fault or something”. He used rhetorical questions to drive home his point, asking how many rooms Jude Okoye could sleep in at once and how many cars he could drive simultaneously.
The comedian threw his support behind Peter Okoye, Jude’s brother, who testified against him in court. Deeone had previously criticized Peter but believes he did the right thing in the alleged fraud case.
Deeone cautioned youths against taking what doesn’t belong to them and urged people to speak out when they see wrongdoing. “Young people, don’t take what doesn’t belong to you, whether na money laundry, whether na stealing, whether na… don’t do that,” he advised. He questioned Jude Okoye’s future actions, asking what he would do if he became a leader tomorrow.
