Judith Audu Hails Brenda Ogbukaa-Garuba’s Writing, Onyeka Onwenu’s Performance in ‘To Adaego With Love’

Nollywood actress and award-winning filmmaker Judith Audu has commended the writing of Brenda Ogbukaa-Garuba and the performance of the late Onyeka Onwenu in the recently released film To ‘Adaego With Love’.

The prominent filmmaker via her Instagram on Friday, shared the film’s poster while praising Ogbukaa-Garuba for writing and producing the project. She also praised the performances of Bob-Manuel Udokwu and Chioma Akpotha.

To Adaego With Love, written and produced by Ogbukaa-Garuba, premiered on February 1 and was released in cinemas across the country on February 6.

The story takes place in 1975 and centres on a soldier and a schoolteacher from different ethnic backgrounds as they build a relationship in a society healing from conflict. Chisom Agoawuike and Adam Garba play the lead roles, with Chioma Akpotha, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Onyeka Onwenu, Riyo David, Demi Banwo, and Tonia Chukwurah also starring. This film marks Onyeka Onwenu’s final screen appearance.

Directed by Nwamaka Chikezie, the film looks at love, reconciliation, and personal choice as the country works to recover.
