Filmmaker Judith Audu has launched a nationwide school tour for her film E.V.I, taking the project directly to students across Nigeria as part of an effort to spark conversations and deepen engagement with its themes.
The initiative focuses on using storytelling as a tool for education and social awareness. According to Audu, bringing the film into classrooms and campuses allows young people to connect more closely with its message.
“We are taking E.V.I to schools across the country because we believe young people need to see stories that reflect their realities and inspire change,” she said.
She also added that the outreach goes beyond film screenings, creating space for meaningful dialogue with students.
“It is not just about watching a film, it is about having conversations that matter,” Audu noted.
The Nigerian film maker adding that early responses from students have been positive.
Following a four-week cinema run across Nigeria, E.V.I is now part of a campus cinema tour organised by Campus Cinemas Distribution. The tour, scheduled from May 1 to May 31, 2026, will feature four films: E.V.I, Keleke, Love and Guilt, and Wedding in Nigeria.
Participating institutions include the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and Enugu State University of Science and Technology in Enugu State; Nnamdi Azikiwe University and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra State; Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike in Ebonyi State; and Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education.
The tour will allow students to watch the films and engage in discussions with organisers and members of the production teams.
