Nigerian reality star, Terseer Waya, popularly known as KiddWaya, has reacted to the death of Lagos socialite, Elena Jessica, who reportedly died following a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure at Cynosure Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Lagos.
A viral video circulating on social media showed Jessica lying on a surgical table during the procedure, visibly in distress. Reports claim she later developed severe complications.
Friends have alleged that she suffered a serious infection after the surgery and accused the clinic of neglecting her post-operative care, which they say led to her death.

It was further reported that Jessica had initially been turned down for the procedure at another clinic but eventually underwent the surgery at Cynosure.

Her death has sparked widespread outrage online, with the hashtag “Say No to BBL” trending across Nigerian social media platforms as users express concern over the risks associated with cosmetic surgery.
Reacting to the incident, KiddWaya urged women to reconsider undergoing cosmetic procedures to enhance their bodies.
“Please stop doing BBL. We love the way you are. Your body is perfect the way God designed it. And if you feel you need to look slightly better, then get yourself a gym membership and work out like a normal human being. Enough is enough,” he said.

The incident is said to be at least the third BBL-related fatality allegedly linked to Cynosure since 2022, raising fresh concerns among health regulators in Lagos.

In response to the growing debate, Dr Chinonso Egemba, popularly known as Aproko Doctor, reiterated warnings he has issued in the past about the risks associated with BBL procedures, citing studies that estimate the mortality rate at approximately 1 in 3,000.
Meanwhile, Cynosure Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has denied the allegations, stating that no deaths have occurred at its facility. The clinic described the claims as misinformation and maintained that it upholds high standards of patient safety and care.
