Mukoro Ereremena Michelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, is a 25-year-old Nigerian influencer and philanthropist from Delta State who rose to fame through viral content showcasing her charitable acts.
King Mitchy Philanthropy Journey
Starting around 2021 on TikTok and Instagram, Mitchy documented helping the underprivileged by renovating schools, feeding the homeless, supporting pregnant teens, and providing financial aid.
In 2024, she formally launched a humanitarian foundation, which earned her awards such as Africa’s Humanitarian Person of the Year 2025 from Ranks Africa and Humanitarian of the Year at the Headies. Positioning herself as a grassroots giver, Mitchy uses profits from her restaurant (Belle Food) and brand deals to fund initiatives.

King Mitchy Faced With Controversies
King Mitchum’s philanthropy is currently facing scrutiny, with some accusing her of staging her acts for clout, lacking transparency in donations, and exaggerating impact. All these claims Mitchy has denied while emphasising her real on-ground work.
The whole issue escalated in February after King Mitchy publicly called out activist VeryDarkMan, aka VDM, for alleged delays in using NGO funds for school renovations, boasting she could complete similar projects faster and challenging him directly.
VDM fired back, labelling her attacks unprovoked, accusing her of being a political tool linking her to figures like Seyi Tinubu and questioning her authenticity. The beef involved leaked chats, account takedowns and insult videos.

False Death Claim
On February 28, 2026, the how scenario took a dramatic turn after King Mitchy’s management posted on Instagram claiming she had passed away at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja after a critical condition allegedly from ingesting “Hypo” (bleach) during a TikTok Live amid the whole backlash.
The announcement was greeted with a larger percentage of humour than empathy, and VDM’s satirical “I’m dead too” response.
The hospital has, however, debunked the claim, calling it false and has vowed to take legal action.
