Nigerian dancer and social media personality Korra Obidi has shared a heartfelt reflection on her past interracial relationship, shedding light on the realities behind public perception and personal emotions.
Speaking during a recent interview, Korra revealed that while many people in Nigeria viewed her relationship with a White partner as a fashionable or trendy choice, her feelings were deeply genuine.
According to her, the connection went beyond societal assumptions, as she was fully invested emotionally.
“I was a Black woman in a relationship with a White man. In Nigeria, people would say ‘go on girl’ and think it was just a trend, but for me, I was in love,” she said.

However, Korra’s remarks highlight the importance of understanding individual experiences rather than judging relationships based on societal narratives.

Korra was married to American chiropractor Justin Dean. The couple tied the knot in December 2017 and later had two children together.
However, their marriage eventually ended after a highly publicised split. Reports indicate that they were together for several years before separating, with their divorce finalised in 2022.
Despite the challenges surrounding her marriage and divorce, Korra Obidi has continued to build her brand as an entertainer and influencer, maintaining a strong presence on social media.
