Earlier, eelive.ng reported that Koyin, a contestant in the Big Brother Naija house, was seen crying after he was involved in an altercation with muscular housemate, Kaybobo.
Due to the triviality of the conversation, netizens criticized the housemate for choosing the cry. Some even shrugged it off as part of his strategy.
Pere Egbi, a former contestant and BBNaija finalist, commented on the tears shed by Koyin.

He added, “Oya, wipe your tears, my boy. Dem diss you, you diss back o. No time to cry.”
The tweet has since sparked reactions among social media users.
Crybaby Strategy: Is Koyin Playing the Weakling Gimmick?
Koyin wouldn’t be the first contestant to use the victim or crybaby gimmick. Contestants such as Frodd, Saga, among several others, used the strategy; however, they did it for love and not necessarily for food matters. Koyin wants to quickly make the crybaby approach his own. Social media users like the ex-BBNaija star Pere Egbi have come out to chastise the move.
Why the crybaby approach looks cute to the subject, it simply makes Koyin look like a jocular person who could be picked on and bullied by housemates. Also, viewers and audience across the globe wouldn’t take him seriously as they would perceive that he is here to shed tears. It is important to note that effeminacy is one attribute that Nigerians hate immensely. It might get you clicks and highlights on social media; however, it wouldn’t make her win the grand prize.
Let’s not take away Koyin’s talent and showmanship, though; he is one of the 29 contestants trying to win the N150 million grand prize.
