The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) have begun investigating controversial rapper Speed Darlington following a viral Instagram live video in which he admitted to defiling a 15-year-old girl.
In the disturbing video, Darlington narrated in Igbo his experience of getting involved with a 15-year-old virgin, which resulted in bloodied sheets in an unnamed hotel.
In reponse to the video, the Lagos DSVA condemned the act, describing it as disturbing, and acknowledging the challenge of jurisdiction since the entertainer did not specify the location of the incident.

Consequently, the agency stated that it has escalated the matter to NAPTIP to ensure a thorough investigation
The statement read, “The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency is aware of the disturbing video currently circulating online, in which a popular entertainer allegedly admits to engaging in unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
“While the individual in question did not specify the location of the incident during the Instagram Live session, we must clarify that the DSVA’s jurisdiction is limited to Lagos State.
“In view of the above, and in line with our commitment to justice, we have escalated the situation to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.”
NAPTIP, in turn noted that it has began a full investigation and coordinating with Lagos DSVA to address the allegations.
This is not the first time Speed Darlington has been embroiled in controversies related to minors.
In 2022, he publicly revealed an altercation with a neighbor who accused him of inappropriate conduct with a 16-year-old girl.
Additionally, in 2023, he faced backlash for openly seeking underage girlfriends and boasting about sexual freedom in Nigeria compared to the United States.
