Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola has disclosed her reasons for still being single and childless at the age of 55.
Bimbo Akintola revealed in an interview with Pulse Nigeria, that her single status is not by choice, but rather due to an unforeseen situation.
The Veteran Nollywood actress described marriage as a sacred union that should take place in the house of God.
Bimbo Akintola admitted that she has once met a man and she believed was the right partner for life, but tragically, he passed away.

She claimed since then, she hasn’t found anyone else who meets her standards for honesty.
“Marriage is important. It doesn’t define a woman, nor is it the be-all and end-all of life. But it becomes more significant as you grow older, especially when children grow up and move on. Loneliness can set in, so companionship is needed in later years,” she said.
She also said, even as late as 78, if she finds the right companion she will still be opened for marriage.
Who’s Bimbo Akintola?
Akintola was born on 5 May 1970 to a father from Oyo State and a mother from Edo State, Nigeria. She studied at Maryland Convent Private School in Lagos State. She proceeded to Command Day Secondary School, Lagos. She earned a degree in Theater Arts from University of Ibadan.
