A Nigerian man has taken to social media to express his deep hurt after discovering that his wife had been massively overcharging him for their daughter’s school fees.
Shared in a now viral post on X (formerly Twitter) by user @AsakyGRN, the man recounted how he had been faithfully sending ₦480,000 every term for his daughter’s education, believing it to be the actual cost.
In a twist, the man revealed that during a recent complaint to the school about homework volume, the school staff stunned him with the revelation that the actual tuition fee was just ₦145,000. Overwhelmed, he said, “I just had to park somewhere to think about my life.”

According to him, his wife initially presented multiple school options and convinced him to opt for the most expensive, insisting she wanted the best for their daughter. Trusting her judgment, he never verified the fee details until now.
