Man Sparks Controversy with Claims About Women Relocating to Abuja for Wealthy Partners

Man calls out women for living fake live

A Nigerian man has ignited heated online debates after claiming that some young women, particularly during their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year, move to Abuja primarily to meet wealthy men who can sponsor their lifestyles.

According to the post shared on Instagram, the man made the remarks at a gathering where he accused many of these women of prioritising appearances and a lavish image over actual wealth creation. According to him, they allegedly go to great lengths to project a fake lifestyle on social media, like borrowing wigs, phones, designer items, and other luxury accessories to maintain a “fake it till you make it” facade.

The speaker argued that some women are more interested in looking rich than in building sustainable wealth. Instead of investing in businesses or income-generating opportunities, they reportedly spend heavily on expensive items to impress potential sponsors.

He also criticised what he described as unrealistic financial expectations among some women, despite their own limited financial stability.

Dishing his advice to women relocating to Abuja, he urged them to focus on building their careers, earning their own income, and becoming financially independent rather than fishing for wealthy men.
