
Chike-Ezekpeazu Osebuka, Nigerian singer, popularly known as Chike, has said he has no intention of getting married, describing marriage as a “stupid step” in his personal view.
Speaking in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, the “Running” crooner said marriage is not part of his life plans.
“In my personal opinion, I think it’s a stupid step to get married. That’s my opinion,” Chike stated.

The singer, who rose to fame after participating in the reality TV music competition Project Fame and later The Voice Nigeria, explained that his decision is a personal one and not influenced by public expectations.
Chike also spoke about what makes him happy, stressing that his happiness is closely tied to financial stability.

“I need a lot of money to be happy,” he said, adding that it is not about greed but about affording the kind of life he desires.
The Enugu State-born artiste revealed that becoming a musician was never part of his original plan. According to him, he only discovered his passion for music after completing his university education.
Known for hit songs such as “Running (To You)” featuring Simi, “Roju” and “Egwu,” Chike has built a reputation for his soulful voice and emotional lyrics.
The singer also addressed the perception some people have about his personality. He admitted that certain critics consider him arrogant, but insisted that such opinions do not affect him.
Chike remains one of the leading voices in Nigeria’s alternative and R&B music scene, with his albums Boo of the Booless and The Brother’s Keeper receiving wide acclaim both locally and internationally.
