
The current condition of veteran Nigerian actor Sunday Afolabi has sparked concern among fans after a video surfaced of his recent public appearance.
In a clip shared on X (formerly Twitter) and seen by eelive.ng, the actor widely known for his role in the 1996 classic Owo Blow, directed by Tade Ogidan, was seen working as a taxi driver in Badagry, Lagos.
In the viral footage, Afolabi was seen at a local filling station, warmly engaging with admirers in Yoruba. During the exchange, some fans expressed that he deserved financial support in recognition of his years of dedication to the Nigerian film industry.

However, the veteran actor humbly interrupted, urging them instead to appreciate those who have already supported him. He offered prayers for the fans, wishing them prosperity in both their youth and old age.
The video has since stirred emotional reactions online, with many users questioning his health and financial well-being after decades of contribution to Nollywood.
One user wrote, “This video is a sign that God has remembered him! I pray it goes viral so he can start getting gigs again.”
Another commented, “Oluwa! May we never labour in vain. This is a sign God has remembered him. May his helpers locate him.”

Sunday Afolabi is a respected Nollywood actor who has featured in numerous high-profile productions alongside stars such as Uche Montana, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Mawuli Gavor, Timini Egbuson, Funke Akindele, and Tony Umez.
