
Nollywood actress May Yul-Edochie has taken decisive action against Yinka Theisen, Linc Edochie’s ex-lover, by sending a cease and desist letter demanding she retract her statements and apologize publicly.
The letter claims Yinka’s social media posts were false, malicious, and damaging to May’s reputation. It read: “Our clients has expressed deep displeasure and grave concerns over your incessant posts, cyberstalking and cyberbullying concerning her and her private family matters. These posts have been made in a tone and manner that transcends mere defamation constituting ridicule, unwarranted and harmful behavior, a calculated assault on her reputation and have further imperiled her safety through malicious threats and demonstrably false allegations by you and at your behest.”
May’s team asserts that the posts instigated third parties to propagate the disturbing communications, causing severe and irreparable harm. “Your conduct has also instigated a third parties to propagate your disturbing communications thereby amplifying the damage and causing our client irreparable harm.”

May’s lawyers through the letter, demands that Yinka cease and desist from making further defamatory statements within 48 hours, issue a clear and public apology, publish a full retraction of the derogatory statements on all platforms and pay a sum of N500 million in damages.

Failure to comply may lead to legal action, both civil and criminal, to enforce May’s rights and seek compensation.
The matter is currently ongoing, with Yinka yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
