Megan Thee Stallion, a Grammy-winning American rapper and songwriter known for hits like “Savage” and “Body,” has secured a significant legal victory in a defamation case against a controversial online personality and commentator, Milagro Gramz.
A Miami federal jury recently ruled in Megan’s favor, finding Gramz liable for defamation, emotional distress, and the promotion of a deep fake video tied to the widely publicised 2020 shooting incident involving rapper Tory Lanez.

Milagro Gramz, was accused of spreading false narratives in collaboration with Lanez, who has since been sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan in the foot. The court determined that Gramz played a role in amplifying misinformation, including a manipulated deepfake video that further attacked Megan’s character and story.

Initially, damages were set at $75,000 but were later reduced to $59,000 by the judge. In addition to the damages, Gramz is still responsible for attorney fees related to the deepfake aspect of the case.

Statement from Megan’s lawyers:
“Contrary to public statements issued by Milagro’s attorneys, the court has not issued a final judgment regarding the defamation count. The judge will make a final ruling and determine the entire financial amount that Milagro will be required to pay Megan, inclusive of legal bills and the defamation count, at a later date.”

However, the outcome marks not just a personal win for Megan, but also a potential turning point in how courts may handle digital harassment and misinformation in the future.
