Former Big Brother Naija star, singer and actress, Vee Iye, has triggered widespread conversations on social media after making a bold and cryptic statement about Nigeria’s political future.
Taking to her official X (formerly Twitter)account, Vee wrote, “Memory loss will suddenly become contagious in 2027,” a comment many have interpreted as a critique of the political climate and public reaction to governance in Nigeria
However, Vee’s statement comes in the wake of mounting insecurity, economic hardship, and growing public dissatisfaction with the government’s handling of key national issues. With the 2027 general elections on the horizon, Vee’s remark suggests concern that many Nigerians might forget current hardships and failures, only to repeat past electoral choices without accountability.
