Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has stirred the online community after claiming that men’s constant body-shaming of women is a major factor pushing many into undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures.
In a recent video circulating on social media, the actress highlighted what she described as men’s hypocrisy in body positivity debates.
She pointed out that the same men who previously bullied, mocked, and pressured women over their natural bodies, often leading to deep insecurities, are now preaching that women should “love themselves the way they are.”

According to Nkechi Blessing, this relentless online and offline criticism creates huge pressure, making cosmetic enhancements like BBL seem like the only way for women to meet societal beauty standards and gain acceptance.
She noted that while individuals have the right to make choices about their bodies, the root cause of many such decisions lies in external shaming rather than purely personal desire. The actress shared that she personally faced bullying for her natural figure, including comments about her stomach, but clarified she would only consider surgery for health-related reasons, such as weight loss, not for enhancement like BBL.
Her statements come amid ongoing conversations about botched BBLs and the risks of cosmetic surgery, often tied to societal pressures.
