Joseph Aloba, the father of late singer Mohbad, has urged the Lagos State government to initiate criminal proceedings against individuals named in the coroner’s inquest into his son’s death.
In a letter dated October 3, 2025, and addressed to the attorney general of Lagos State, Aloba demanded that criminal charges be filed against those indicted within 14 days.

The individuals named in the letter include Miss Ogedengbe Fisayo, indicted for unlawful medical practice and gross medical negligence for administering injections to Mohbad without proper medical assessment. The singer’s wife, Mrs. Omowunmi Aloba, indicted for negligence in the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and Ibrahim Owodunni (Prime Boy).

Aloba expressed concern that despite the clear verdict, no prosecutorial steps had been taken against those indicted nearly three months after the judgment. He requested that the attorney general exercise prosecutorial powers within 14 days or grant him and his legal team a fiat to prosecute the matter on behalf of the state.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, following an injection administered by auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe.
