Gospel sensation Moses Bliss has issued a public apology after his open flyer design challenge sparked widespread criticism from Nigeria’s online community.

The singer initially invited graphic designers to submit entries for promotional materials for his forthcoming The Mountain Experience Abuja event, stating that the best designer would be employed.

The move quickly drew backlash, with many professionals accusing Bliss of exploiting talent and devaluing the industry by requesting unpaid work.

In a video response posted on social media, Bliss addressed the controversy directly. “I didn’t mean to undervalue anybody,” he said, adding, “That was never my intention.”

He explained that the challenge was meant to discover fresh creative talent for potential collaboration, not to disrespect designers or their craft.

To make amends, Bliss pledged to reward five to ten of the best designs submitted. He emphasised his appreciation for the creative community and promised that outstanding entries would receive recognition and compensation.
