
MI Abaga, the Nigerian rapper and music executive, has expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the recent killings in Benue State.
Standing in solidarity with the affected communities, the singer condemned the persistent violence that has plagued the region for too long, emphasising that the victims are not just statistics but people, families, and communities torn apart.
In a post on his X account, the singer emphasised the importance of humanity and solidarity with the people of Benue, noting the need for collective action to address the crisis and promote peace in the region.

He said, “My heart is heavy. It grieves me deeply to see so much of the Middle Belt bleed. The recent killings in Benue are not just statistics, they are our people, our families, our communities being torn apart.”
He continued, “I stand in solidarity with my brothers and sisters in Benue. Your pain is my pain. We can’t normalize this cycle of violence that has plagued our land for too long.”
The rapper paid tribute to the victims, saying, “To those we’ve lost: we will not forget you. To those still standing, we stand with you.”
He also called for a transparent investigation into the attacks and a stronger security presence across vulnerable communities, urging action to bring an end to the violence.
