
Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede breaks down in tears while reacting to the worsening insecurity in the country.
The actress shared an emotional video on her Instagram page weeping as she reacted to the rising wave of violence and killings across the country.

“My heart is shattered,” Jegede wrote in her caption, as she pleaded with Nigerian leaders to intervene and put an end to the bloodshed. “We are all we have left, so we have to stand up for each other.”

In one of the clips, Jegede questioned the silence of leaders amidst the killings, asking, “Can the president even just step in, to save shame to ask them to at least stop the killing until his tenure is over?” She added, “Is the economic and social suffering alone not enough to make you people have sympathy? Is there nobody out there with sympathy? I am exhausted. I am tired.”

Jegede’s emotional outburst was accompanied by a statement: “And that’s how the giant of Africa fell, and turned to an ant.” Her posts have sparked an outpouring of support and concern from fans and fellow Nigerians, who are urging the government to take decisive action to address the country’s security challenges.
